It’s been proven that joining a union will have immediate and important benefits for members, including better contracts and better pay and benefits. On average, unionized workers across Canada earned $5.14/hour more than non-union workers. Women in unions earned more too ($6.88/hour) and got paid more fairly. Workers under age 25 earned an extra 26% from jobs covered by a collective agreement.
